Remembering Tim
A true “Renaissance Man", Tim had many passions. He was a musician, a photographer, a woodworker, a baker, a self-taught electrician, plumber, builder, and could fix or design just about anything. He loved conversation and was a walking encyclopedia of all things. He was a tinkerer, a teacher, a lover of puns and dad jokes, a deliberate methodologist, and everyone’s oldest friend. His children describe him as brilliant, joyful, patient, kind, genuine, loving, intentional and funny. He had a gift for seeing what was uniquely special about nearly every person he met and making sure they in turn felt special. His calm reflective thoughts put everything in perspective in the most perfect and brilliant of ways. He loved deeply, thoughtfully, purely and his love was a source of healing, gathering, teaching and joy. He touched countless lives, even through brief encounters, and was deeply loved by many.
His true passion was his family and he will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend, Claire Vest; his children and stepchildren Michelle Liberty (Shawn), Patrick Silber, Tara Fankhanel (Renz), Ian Vest (Kirsten), Brian Vest, Emily Silber Freedman (Matt), and Timothy Silber. He will be reunited with his daughter Nicole Vest, who passed away in 2015. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Cora Fankhanel, Tessa Fankhanel, Amber Silber, Ayla Silber, Greta Fankhanel, Cooper Liberty, Olivia Liberty, and Talia Vest. In addition to many special friends and other family members, Tim is also survived by his Russian Siberian Forest Cat, Boris.
