To my sweet, beloved Dad. After one year of fighting cancer with everything you have, you are finally free of its evil grip and at peace. Very few understand the strength it took to show up every day and battle this horrible disease. You fought with everything you had until your last breath and I don’t think it would surprise anyone to know that you never, ever gave up.

It’s hard for me to even put into words how incredible you are and how much you’ve impacted me and everyone you’ve ever met. You are the most incredible, selfless, hilarious, and inspiring person I’ve ever known and I was lucky enough to have you as my dad, my role model, and my guide through life. There is SO much of you in me and I’m reminded of that in almost everything I do.

Our lives will never be the same again and I will miss you every day for the rest of my life. Right now it’s hard to picture our family being okay without you here to hold us together. Our hearts are broken but we’ll all be together again, somehow.
