Our team is once again participating in GO2 for Lung Cancer event on Saturday, April 6, to raise funding and awareness for lung cancer research, treatment and advocacy.

As most of you know, we lost my mom to lung cancer in 2014. We started walking/running in her memory through our Barb's Amazing Racers team. Then my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. Because of a low dose CT screening, his lung cancer was caught in Stage 1. After a successful surgery, my dad is still cancer free almost 5 years later. Since my mom's diagnosis, we've had so many friends who have also contracted lung cancer. 1 in 15 men and 1 in 17 women will develop lung cancer. And though the stereotype is it only impacts long time smokers, that is not the case. Young never smokers present with it as well.

Please join our family and friends as we walk to raise funds for this cause. You can join us in person as we always have a good time getting some exercise for a good cause.
