Our team is once again participating in GO2 Foundation's event on Saturday, April 1, to raise funding and awareness for lung cancer research, treatment and advocacy.

As most of you know, we lost my mom to lung cancer in 2014 and then my dad got it. Because of a low dose CT screening, his lung cancer was caught in Stage 1. After a successful surgery, my dad is still cancer free almost 5 years later. Since my mom's diagnosis, we've had so many friends who have also contracted lung cancer. 1 in 15 men and 1 in 17 women will develop lung cancer. And though the stereotype is it only impacts long time smokers, that is not the case. Young never smokers present with it as well.
