I started on this unexpected journey 2 years ago, with a diagnosis of Stage IV ALK Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. In honor of my survival and cancer anniversary, my wife, Robyn ,and I decided last year that we would mark this day each year and step out for lung cancer at the annual GO2 for Lung Cancer SoCal Walk/Run and to bring more awareness!

Through my journey we were shocked by the lack of funding for this disease.  The good part today is there is more focus on research and solutions to extend life.  One of my goals is to witness those advancements and be a part of helping to find a cure.  It will eventually happen with the growing attention Lung Cancer is getting.  

My specific Lung Cancer 

ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase) 
ALK-positive lung cancer is caused by a rearrangement of the ALK gene, but we do not know why this rearrangement happens;  "I never smoked"!  The experts aren't sure of the cause but environmental is not ruled out.

The funds I raise will advance GO2's mission to increase survival by improving the lives of those vulnerable, at risk, and diagnosed with lung cancer. Help me support this much-needed effort by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends.
